This picture is of the MM on the coin I displayed on yesterdays post. Die chips and wear are common around mint marks so never gave it any thought.

Only L&M show the extra metal on top of letters. If these do turn out to be die varities are they even worth collecting ?

The doubling is so minor, and you need such magnification to see it clearly, I would venture to say there is no premium on a coin like this. sorry.

Hi,
The coin shows the effects of having been struck by an extremely worn die. I don't think their is anything really out of the ordinary on this one.

Top one is Struck Through Grease.

Second one is struck by a worn die.
