Spence Moderator United States 34428 Posts	Posted 08/28/2018 9:11 pm For folks with old eyes: It does look like some sort of surface residue is on this coin--could be clear nail polish, paint, or any of a thousand things. If you remove it, you may find differential surface toning between what has been covered and what has been exposed to the elements. This is a common enough LWC that it probably isn't worth it to go through the whole bother unless you want to. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 08/28/2018 9:17 pm I have a cent that has blue toning on the reverse. I've always blamed it on the Whitman tri-fold Holders for coins. But you coin is showing it on both sides. Maybe ink or makrer? Report this Post to the Staff
