hello all, I love this forum. So, I cherry picked an 1871 2 Cent coin, which looks like an DDO. Please let me know what you think, here are the pics. As an aside, it is in a slabbed, but not attributed the DDO. is it worth re-submitting it for that?

That does look like FS-301, nice find!

FS-301 is a RPD (repunched date) not a DDO (doubled die obverse).

The repunched date doesn't add much value to the coin (according to the CherryPickers' Guide) so I don't think it is worth getting reslabbed.

Thanks for correcting me on the RPD vs DDO. What was the value in the Cherrypicker's guide if you don't mind saying?

CherryPickers' Guide says a normal one (no RPD) in 63BN is $375 while one with the RPD is $430. It doesn't say the value for MS64.

Don't waste your money resubmitting. It's a beautiful example as is. I doubt there would be any premium for this at auction.

I agree, but if you (OP) think it would look better with the designation for your own collection, then go for it
