Members, your thoughts on the authenticity of this key date? The date seems slightly off. Is it just wear? Otherwise it looks pretty good. There is a return policy.

Everything looks good with this coin except for a few obverse stars in my opinion . I don't know if they are a product of wear or something else . With 30 days return ,go for it if you like it . But be prepared for a bidding war towards the end .

Thx T-BOP. I'm going to stick to a bid ceiling on this one, but there seems to be a lack of 1886 inventory out there opposed to the 1912-S (lots of G-VG examples (slabbed and un-slabbed). The 1885 - well, that's going to be a AG at best for me.

As for the 1886, I don't know? I don't know if it would get a straight grade or not. It's better than mine for sure.

Lost out. Was in until 5 sec to go. Could have increased my max bid, but stuck to my budget. Oh well.

Sorry to hear that. The coin looked VG. I think the buyer got a good deal. I'm thinking it was a $300.00 coin.

Good deal indeex! No remorse though. Had a budget. Very slippery slope those bidding wars.

Thx USSID18! Can't believe I found a nice example for within budget.

If I come across a nice cu-nickel IHC it will go in the 7070.
