He/She never messaged me back and with an hour to go I doubt if that will happen. If I really wanted to sell that coin I'd be answering all questions ASAP. Some times people will list a
rare coin to draw people in with hopes of the possible bidders/watchers will look at the rest of their items for sale/auction.

When shillers do their job all too well, they end up buying the coin. Now, the transaction has to be cancelled to not pay the ebay fees, so how many times does ebay see this happen with the same account before banning them all?

I was reading some comments here and it made me think. Is he trying to inflate/lower the value for this year/mm on PCGS and other websites that use sold prices to determine value? PCGS does publish sold auction prices from ebay, Heritage, etc..

Seems like an odd objective. That data is also available on the page for this cert number, so its unusual history is public. But for the general year/mint, it might have an impact. What would one have to gain from that, for just one issue?

In general they can either really love that issue or more likely be trying to drive the price down to corner the market. If they control enough they get to set the price, and if its a better date it will drag some more commons down as well.

I don't think that's it here, if that is the plan I don't see how that would ever work

The winning bidder on their most recent auction has 98% bid activity with this seller, 23 bid retractions in 6 months and 16 bids on this auction alone. Sheesh!

But now 35$ shipping - must be a big box for a small coin.

His "shill bidders" aren't doing their jobs!

Looks like the same bidder y***m is giving it a second try, currently $300 higher than their last winning bid. 95% bidding activity with seller, and 23 bid retractions. That does smell of shill.
