I love to find a new variety. I found this coin in very late die stage but some of it error make me wonder? Last time I got 1977 and Mr. Coop pointed out what cause that error. Now I got this, Any Idea Masters?
The mark on column 7 is damage. On column 4 maybe a small die gouge. The right upright on the "N" is either damage or MD or perhaps both. I can not see what you are point at on the upper left. I would say not a doubled die.
Just weird contact hits Bate. The T has a hit on the left crossbar top. There is a blob of pushed metal, wider than the N just under the split that was another contact(perhaps the same one?)
Grease on the 'N' area. The statue maybe be a grease and die polishing issues as well. STATES a striking issue. The notching is a little bit of looking too close. What power of scope are you using. Above 10X is over kill. I've found stuff that I can see on my scope, but can;t get an image of. That is when I know I'm looking too hard. A good doubled die should jump out at you.
