Hi All,

Curious to get a grade and value for these USA 1960 1 cent coins. Originally slabbed by ANI, not a recognized grading company.
States one is small date and the other the large date not sure if this is correct, clarity would be appreciated.

Are those pics from a scanner? Not good enough to grade by.

Note the 1 in the date. Very high for small date. Normal looking for large date. I'm not a good grader but I'd still say about somewhere between EF-40 and MS-64.

For value: on average about $.50 for a EF-40, $1 for a BU, to $4 for MS64

The 1960 Small dates are indeed hard to come by, we find very few in circulation any more, very scarce indeed. 1960 Large dates are plentiful in most grades of MS64 and below in rolls and circulation. Your sm date looks uncirculated but toned, the large shows enough luster for MS status. For a completely accurate grade larger, cropped and crystal clear pix are absolutely needed. I'd rough guess the 60 SD is MS62 BN, it has less than 30% luster, while the 60 led is MS64RD. Values, check ebay, but realistically the 60sd I sell for $10 in that condition, the 60ld I just sold 3 rolls of MS various grades for less than $10. Most of the time I have to give the common date MS Memorials away, nobody will pay $4 for an unplanned coin!... well, a seasoned collector wouldn't?
