It's too bad this OFEY collection doesn't have anything from the 1400s. Dated coins from 2018 back to about 1507 are pretty easy to find. Most most dates prior to 1498 are tough.
It's also too bad that that Krause never finished/released their 1501-1600 volume (except for the German States and India after the Timurid invasion).

It would be a heckuva lot of fun to browse through that lot, but these things occur to me: - at nearly $40/coin on average, it's probably not a spectacular deal unless many of the coins are in high grade and/or less common (even the 4 golds are smaller denomination and pretty affordable. The 19th c French 20 franc is a $250 coin) - pay 5 figures and miss out on the thrill of the hunt?
Still, it's fun to see it out there.

I'm looking forward to eventually completing the 1517-present range myself... probably reaching a bit before that as well if I find a good source of dated Islamic coins. However, I very much do not intend to pay remotely close to $40 per coin (in fact, there are few enough coins in my collection that I paid over $40 for to count on my fingers, and for the moment I intend to keep it that way). I'd probably end up completing my One From Every Century set much earlier though... I'm ignoring the 7th and 6th centuries BC, for obvious reasons, but I still need to attribute my 8th century AD piece, and get something ID-able from the 13th century AD. (And yes, I'll try my best to show it off on CCF once I fill that pesky 13th century gap.)

january1, you may be able to get back to earlier dates than 1517 with Poland/Lithuania polgrosz coins. I think that dates back to 1508 are fairly common.

Also, don't forget the Hungarian Denars -- dated ones go back to 1503 (although 1503 itself seems to be uncommon).
