Picked this up for $17.50. Thoughts on grade and problems? Thanks!

Not a coin worth grading, in my opinion. It's just ugly with the multiple cleaning it has suffered. Not as attractive as some of the other coins you are showing.

all the original surface have been stripped off. VF30 in my book but I dont like the look of it. I'm thinking it may have been a dug coin at one time.

Just scheduled an appointment with my optometrist to have my eyes checked. I see a crusty original coin.

pitting around the date(and elsewhere, but it looks most obvious to me around the date) suggest that this coin was a previously corroded coin that's been improperly cleaned to me as the other's stated

Well that's quite a difference! Lower obverse still a bit iffy, but could make VF-30 straight.

Looks much better than the first pics, but I still think it has environmental damage.
