Hi all, I got this Wheat cent CRH quite some time ago. What do you guys think its grade is? It's a very even shade of brown. Lincoln's hair, profile, the lettering/numbers, and the wheat ears all have great, sharp detail. There is some gunk on the reverse, between the wheat ears and the rim.
Personally, this is one of my favorite wheat cents in my collection. Thanks in advance everyone

Nice shape for a CRH coin, I'll give a very rough attempt since pix are too small... You need to crop out all edge background, not reduce original size that much to retain pixel clarity. By the hair and rims, it looks in the XF range, XF40-45BN, which is a nice grade for that. Try a soak in acetone for that gunk, may help it. A decent addition to any collection.

As Crazy suggested, a short soak in pure acetone may help remove some of that reverse gunk.

Still a lovely coin. The obverse particularly is what all of us would like to see for an EF coin. Slight circulation rub that in no way deters from the beauty, and a sensational even color.

Certainly a winner.
Rest in Peace

Lovely coin - well found indeed by CRH.

Concur that a bit of cropping your photos to remove the unnecessary background would help us to help you - suggest the you work on that next time.
