BU is a bogus numismatic term meaning "Brilliant Uncirculated". There are two words there that should give you a clue. Brilliant of course refers to luster, the fine metal dust shine of a newly minted coin. Yours retains...some. It has already started to "tone", because of exposure to human skin oils and the environment(air, moisture). Ahh, "human skin oils", that denotes HANDLING. Now how does that fit in with the word "Uncirculated"? Also there are numerous dings, scrapes and scratches, some minor and microscopic, that have been applied thru...circulating coin contacts.

So let me ask, is this now a "Brilliant Uncirculated" coin? I'm being a bit snarky here, but I'm sure you see the point. Circulation coins can "look" good, have nice eye appeal, but in the Numismatic world of grade and quality, there is a wide gap between circulated and uncirculated. Very seldom will a high grade coin get picked up out of circulation, it was usually in storage until just before it hit your hands, but it is still, circulated and is graded accordingly.

What looks like a finger print on the reverse would be a deal breaker for me. A spender.

Well for starters, I'm new at this and I'm trying to learn, someone told me it could be a BU or from a BU roll that got cashed in. That is why I said "maybe BU?" No need for being snarky please, just needed guidance which is what this forum is for, correct?

But, even with the "snarky-tude", I am thankful for your facts, information and opinion.

Better pics would help. Also, looks like an AU coin to me, IMO, not a BU.
