Hi
I knew the o&c were md and that the e probably would be too seeing it was in the same direction of the dies md movement. but the bottom leg of the e is what caught my eye it looked larger/thicker in the north to south direction not smaller
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE clarify this quote that was supplied as I am more confused now and am seeing it said more and more
Quote:
...What catches your eye? Remember, the edge is where you find MD...(on doubled dies)Your eyes don't leave the center to look at the edge
(center of what? the coin? or the device?...your eye KNOWS it's a doubled die! So when you look at the edge of the devices on a coin, you're looking for something that really isn't there. Stop looking at the edges of devices
*** note the added picture below should I or should I not be looking at those "edges" of the devices?. Why? Because that's where MD is!
I write this reply because I noticed another post today 9/7 that again said "do not look at the edges of devices" yet I see soooo many "listed" dd's that are (to me) clearly on the edges of devices and that "I would say" look like md
PLEASE understand I am not trying to be confrontational or a pita. Really I'm not..it just seems to happen. lol I REALLY do appreciate EVERYONE's time and the sharing of their knowledge, I'm just trying to get better at spotting dd's as soooo many of the listed dd's are so minute, and from what I have seen in pics alot look to be on the edges of devices (hence back to the quote...dont look at the edges) There nothing like the 1995,1972,1955 etc dd's (I know.. different class's of dd's)
So with the new pic supplied is this md or a dd on the EDGES of the devices?
Thank you for your help
