No. I'm a little biased because I already got one (PCGS graded, a few weeks ago before the variety was officially acknowledged) and considered returning it because it doesn't have eye appeal. It was an accidental purchase (I won an auction I wasn't expecting to and bought another one in the meantime) so I have one of each.

Today, I still wouldn't purposely buy one for that same reason. It's a variety, but not an appealing one, and one that you can't overlook because it affects the entire obverse.

I wouldn't. I would only buy it for the normal price of a regular Proof.

If you had an older, lets say a 1962 Proof half dollar that had a cameo on one side only and not the other? It would not grade as a cameo coin. Because if was not seen on both sides of the coin. It just a proof coin then.

There is also the factor that so far they have been running about 10% light finish coins. If that percentage continues to hold you have a "variety" that makes up 105 of the whole mintage. Probably not worth much premium.

I doubt it will hold that 10% though. If there is only one die then it should end up closer to 1.5 to 2%, Higher than that would mean more than one die missed the frosting step.
