I found this in a circulated bankroll, from a bank box of U.S. Pennies from last week. It's Zinc Rotted unfortunately, when I found it. I gave it an Acetone soak, to get anything bad off the surfaces, but the Zinc Rot is always permanent. I'll keep it anyways, since I got it for face value (for 1 cent). I put it in a 2x2 coin flip, and staple it, to try to conserve it from rotting even more. It's nearly dateless, from being Struck Through Grease. I was barely able to see the date (the 2, 0's, and the very faint outline of the 8).

I'd tossed this one back in circulation with not wasting any time on it. Just spendable change. I always as myself, would I buy this coin. If not, put it back to work.

If I find a better example from that year, or just a better Greaser, I'll throw it back in the wild. I luckily got it for face value at least.
