I went to the bank to unload some zinc and traded for 9 new rolls to search. The first roll yielded 100% copper 1980 and older with one wheat. The second roll was 100% wheats, earliest 1917 and a 55 EF-AU.Needles to say I immediately went back and bought all the customer rolled pennies the teller had. Out of 20 rolls I got 8 rolls of copper in addition to the wheat roll. Some days are REALLY GOOD!

Sounds like that was an awesome day! I have a bag of about 2,000 Lincolns to look through (1959-2008.) I just have to find the time. I enjoy looking for Lincoln Cent varieties and sit there with my small digital scale just in case of a lighter or heavier than normal cent. Time consuming processbut fun nonetheless.

Vermontensium, what are you looking for when you weigh them? I mean, besides the obvious copper/zinc composition thing.
