I just got a 2003 proof 1/10 oz gold eagle and it has different color/hue to my 1993 proof slabbed 1/10 oz gold eagle:
Fake-2003-1/10-Oz-Gold-Eagle?

The 1993 coin looks gold, while the 2003 coin has a goldish pale copper/pink coloring?

It's possible it's fake, can you get closeups please? I've seen a lot of Saunt-Gaudean rounds being counterfitted lately.

Hard to say from those photos, but I'm inclined to say genuine. I don't see anything blatantly wrong.

Are you able to weigh it? or measure its diameter?

Because gold eagles aren't pure gold, they can tone. So, a difference in color by itself probably isn't enough to say its counterfeit.

I think I'm going to get a coin scale

The 2003 coin matches up everything with the 1993 coin but the hue (don't know about weight). Under certain lights the '03 coin looks like .9999 gold, in other lights it looks like gold/copper/silver mix (which these coins are made of).

If slight color difference is not enough to make a coin fake, I guess I shouldn't be too worried?

Nevermind. Turns out the 1993 coin was toned. Which is why it had a gold/orange look and the 2003 coin didn't.
