1985-D-Jefferson-Nickel-Improperly-Annealed-Or-Chemical-Damage?

Hello this is my first post on this site and I hope to learn from everyone in this community.
I found this nickel while coin roll hunting and I can't tell if it's improperly annealed or if some chemical gave it this color, the pictures don't show it but it has the same copper color as a penny. Please let me know if it's an error or just the result of someone's science experiment, thanks.

To CCF! It's heavy Environmental Damage that gave your Nickel that look to it. It's Post Strike Damage (meaning that it happened after it left the U.S. Mint).
