I'm new to coin collecting and I'm curious what you guys think of this coin (grade and overall) and if I should get it slabbed or not. Thanks in advance

Vg-8 to Vg-10 from what I can see.

In my opinion it is not worth the added costs to get it slabbed.

Can't tell if the mark on the obverse is damage or not. Either way, not worth slabbing.

Thanks for the additional pics.

I'll stick with my original evaluation of VG 8 to 10 and still not worth slabbing.

And welcome to the Community!

I'll settle on VG details given that apparent arc scratch in the right obverse field, which shows in all pics.

VG-10 details. Not worth a slab. That's not a bad thing. I prefer my coins raw anyway.

VG-10 Details, damaged. Don't have it slabbed, not worth enough.

Thanks for all the help guys, the dealer assured me it was "certainly a VF to XF coin." I will try to be more careful next time. Even so, I still really like the looks of this coin.

smh. And dealers wonder why they get a bad rap. On a positive note it has very pretty toning under the light.
