Good morning all! I would like to know if anyone can help or direct me to the right place as to where I can buy a really good magnifier and what kind? I am searching to find a magnifier that will help me see my coins more clearly to be able to see the errors without squinting or closing one eye to focus, lol. Would be nice to be able to view them with both eyes open. I do have a Carson Digital microscope but I do not like it much. Looking for something better. Any ideas? Thank you all in advance.

My go to, is a Bausch and Lomb Hastings Triplet 10x. Also, BeLOMO makes a good one. Sometimes I use a lower magnification lens for a quick scan.

The only way to do that is with a USB microscope and a computer monitor,or a unit that has everything in one. As for jewelers loupes,I use a 14x no name doublet, cost under $7. I also have a B&L Hastings 14x triplet,$30. I also recommend a 10x. We need to know your budget.

Thank you The Duke and John 1. My budget I'm willing to go as high as 100 for now. I have a digital microscope from Carson but I dont seem to like it much. It sheds to much light on the area and dust hot into it so it's now useless. I'm searching for something better. I looked on Amazon but and did some research but still looking into it.Hoping to get my money's worth

For $100,you will be able to get a scope and a loupe. Scope should be 5x-150x or as close to that as possible. Not recommending seller, but here is an idea for a stand alone model https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-3-LCD-1-...AOSwYUlbV~Bc

I'll look into it today, but I also need one that I can use both eyes with. I'm putting too much strain on my eye looking at coins with 1 eye open.Thank you John 1

I was just looking at one like that. Also 1 from Tipmant. It's a USB Digital Microscope Magnification 40-1000x Compatible with PC/Mac, Android Tablet/Smart Phone (Micro USB)

40x-1000x is way too high. You need as close to 0x as possible and anything higher than 150x is over kill.

IMHO. Your lowest mag is too high. The loupes with built in led is more of a hassle than anything. Hope your happy with what you get though

Oh my landlol I was looking at a few similar to these but I don't know how good they are. I wish there was a store near by so I can go shopping. What is the USB one? Does it work well? Are the other ones also good enough that I don't have to look with only 1 eye? I had to quit going through my coins today because all I could see after a few hours was blur. I looked at some B&L Hastings but oh my, I'm not ready for that yet. Thank you for sharing
Rest in Peace

All depends on what your use is, just to see the dates better(3-8X), look for Doubled Dies(10-15X) or for micro-errors(25-300X and scopes).

This is unfortunately true. They're great when they work, but that isn't very long. You can try to replace the battery but even then the compartment may not stand up to it. My first didn't survive this process, the second is flickering badly.
