It's an ancient roman coin, of emperor Constantius II (emperor AD 337-361). From the colour it appears to be silver, unless the colour is wrong in the picture; the silver coin fromt his time period is known as a "siliqua". Siliquae are relatively rare, compared to copper and even gold coins.

We would need to see pics of the other side to give further ID information.
