I saw this coin on e-bay. Did not bid on it. There seems to be no documented coin with this date feature.

Likely repunched digits, lots of dies were stretched out as long as they could, so these are kind of considered 'repairs'.

Some can be worth a great deal of money, so for price I can't say if this is a valuable one or not.

Recut date but not sure how much interest or value would be for these in the UK.

Yeah I don't think it's uncommon - the variety books tend to cover the more interesting overdates more.
