I too see very slight notches on some serifs. If it is a DDO, it is most likely too minor to catalog. I often wonder though, could this be deterioration an metal movement.precursor to full die flow/deterioration VLDS?

When you look too close on one device, nothing starts to look like something. Too close it too close.

When I got back into the hobby and learned about how far the hobby had come in identifying so many doubled dies - varietyvista showing the pics it does and looking at threads here - it was this kind of notching I started to look for to ID a DDO or DDR.

If the coin in hand looks like this and I owned it, then I know I would have been asking the same thing about this half.

As to it being too minor to list - I agree this is possible - but then a lot of the ones - especially the most recent DDOs and DDRs - also should not be listed b/c tey are a lot harder to see than this one.

I know when I started searching Kennedy halves a few years ago, I found some that were not listed, but since then have become so (I did not send them in). So with all due respect to Coop, b/c he has taught all of us so much here - including myself - I still think this is a DDO plus has some MD. if it was in my collection, I would have it labeled as such.
How much squash could a Sasquatch squash if a Sasquatch would squash squash?
