Brand new here and learning the ropes. Putting up a couple pics of a 1928 penny just for input as to roughly what the grade would be so I have an idea of what I'm looking at now and in the future. Thanks

It would be more helpful if you cropped your pictures. Also, it is hard to seen the band on the crown, which is key for grading and we we need to be definite. But from what I can see, it is cleaned, and in terms of wear, Fine to Very Fine.

Also, what do you mean by cleaned? I have no clue how to clean a coin, what is the method?

Cleaned is bad throws a detail grade which is no good

I agree, it looks like someone at a point in the coin's life gave it a shine. Cleaning can make the coin look brighter but gives it an unnatural appearance and also scratch and remove details on the coin. The general rule of thumb is to not clean your coins. 1928 was one of the more common years in the 20's for pennies. In a VF grade, the coin is $1. Given the cleaning, it would be less.

At best F12, cleaned, details.

Just something to keep in mind.
The grade depends upon whose standards you are using.
Canadian standards are tougher than US standards.
