Hello! I'm new here in the community as well as the collecting realm. I admit that I have yet still much to learn. I was just hoping that someone might assist me in identifying a coin. The coin on the left is s 1966 Lincoln Penny. I only included this coin as a visual reference and comparison to the coin on the right. I believe the coin on the right is a 1964 Lincoln Penny on a clad dime planchet, but obviously I'm not certain

Dadiisuez, first off, welcome to CCF.

Your pictures didn't post...refer to the tutorial on posting pictures. The quickest way to ascertain if the coin is indeed struck on a clad dime planchet is to weigh it on a digital scale. The correct weight for a 1964 Lincoln Cent is 3.11 grams. A clad planchet would weigh 2.27 grams. If there is significant wear this would reduce weights. If you coin weighs at or less than 2.25 grams, you probably have a winner.
Rest in Peace

Quickest way to tell if it is on a clad dime blank is look at the edge. If you see the typical "sandwich" appearance that you can see on any clad dime them it is on a clad planchet. If the edge is a solid silver color then it is either plated or on a silver dime planchet. For this the weight is the key. A plated copper cent will be very close to 3.11 grams,a silver dine planchet would be very close to 2.5 grams. Also if it is struck on a dime planchet it will be smaller than a cent and part of the rim and maybe even some of the design will be off the edge of the coin,
