I have some dug indian heads and much worse looking large cents I can try the verdi care on. This is my best dug large cent, and I am happy with it as is. Thank you all for your help. I am going to leave this one alone and just use it on some of my dug indian heads, which are shaping up to be really nice with the VC. Jadey Pillar of the Community United States 900 Posts	Posted 11/21/2018 8:35 pm I think you've made a good decision. Practice on some other coins. I've cleaned a lot of my LC finds, and some look better, but some look much worse. The dirt and the flaky material provide the detail. Sometimes they are less identifiable after cleaning.
