Once again, I'm wondering if this coin is worth the expense of a "real" grading agency.

Save your money. Put it in a flip and enjoy it. The cost of slabbing this coin would not be worth the price. Great 3 cent silver though!!

Lovely coin, not worth the expense of third party grading.

Not worth sending to a TPG, but still a great coin.

Plus you want to take into consideration if both coins were cleaned or would come back detailed.

Fine details at best - the gouge at K9 will kill it. Even straight F15 or VF20 wouldn't be worth slabbing.

Thank each of you very much. See, I've already learned enough to NOT bother posting pics of the other 2 silver 3 cent coins I have.
As part of my ongoing quest to educate myself in this area I obtained an old (1977) copy of this book. Should still be relevant right?
I love that line at the bottom:
