Hi all...

I'm still pretty new to this coin collecting. The coin is not in the greatest condition but it is the first S mint that I have come across. Can anyone help me out with this one? Liberty looks as if it has DD.

If you can get clearer pictures, that would help. It could be Machine Doubling, as that year was very common for Machine Doubling to happen.

to CCF! and try to get them sharp and centered as you can. Get a picture of both sides of the coin, and then any areas in question.

Thanks!

I am not seeing anything that suggests a doubled die of any sort. The mintmark looks a little funny, but it has taken a hit, so who knows? It could be just MD there.

to CCF. Looks like the coin is in a 2x2 holder? Please,everyone...remove coins from whatever type holder it is in when possible before taking photos.

If it were the big DDO, then we would be able to see it on the same size as your images:

But from what I can see on your coin it look normal to me.

Not a Doubled Die. I can see some Machine Doubling on the devices. If you want to research real Doubled Dies, I would suggest checking this website out. http://www.doubleddie.com

No way. The actual 69-S DD looks very impressive as pictured above, you couldn't miss it if you tried. Maybe a little MD at best on this one.

To be fair, there is more than one DDO recognized for the 1969-S LMC.

Yep, there are two DDOs, if I recall correctly. Your coin has neither.
