These two pennies caught my eye.
The 1997 has strange corrosion and is almost gold in color,
While the 2002 seems to have silver colored metal (Zinc?)under the copper.
Are these strange errors or chemically altered ect.?

@pen13, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes these are both showing damage. You are correct that the zinc core is partially visible on the '02.

It is only considered an error if it was done during the striking of the coin.
Since this has definitly happened after that, it is considered PMD.
Some sort of environmental damage and/or corrosion the cause.

To CCF! Unfortunately, it's all damage on both coins. It's Post Strike Damage ( PSD), meaning that all of this happened, after it left the U.S. Mint.

Not done at our Mint unless the workers there were really drunk. Just a lot of damage to those.
