Any Idea If These Pennies Are Errors Or Altered?

The 1997 has strange corrosion and is almost gold in color, While the 2002 seems to have silver colored metal (Zinc?)under the copper. Are these strange errors or chemically altered ect.? You are correct that the zinc core is partially visible on the '02. Since this has definitly happened after that, it is considered PMD. Some sort of environmental damage and/or corrosion the cause. Also To the CCF Report this Post to the Staff
