Any thoughts on this ring on the face side of this coin?

It's been damaged by a coin wrapping/coin counting machine, unfortunately just spendable

I'm thinking minting damage. It's raised and matches the ring on the back.

Its not minting damage.
We see these on the forum all the time where someone thinks it is an error.
As stated, it is caused by some sort of wrapping/counting machine damage.
There is no way those lines could occur during the minting process.

No it's not. We see these 3 or 4 times a week. It's from rolling, counting, sorting machines.

I have to disagree. Perhaps the picture is not showing the damage well enough. The coin itself is raised in the center and the stamping traverses the edge.

It's a lip, not scoring from a counter or wrapping machine.

MoleMan!
It is PSD, as everyone has said. Damaged after it was struck.

If you believe it's a mint error, you're free to send it in to a professional grading service to get it attributed. What kind of error do you believe this to be?

OP, I think you need to take a picture from the side to capture what you want them to see.

No more pictures needed, it's not an error. We've literally seen this damage thousands of times on this forum alone. I'm locking this topic so you don't get piled on for weeks. When you get it back from NGC or PCGS message me through the contact form and I'll unlock this topic so you can post pics.

This is just one of the many machines that leave this damage...
