Continuing List To Show Everyones Latest Acquisitions

I just got this Half-Sovereign. In 1900 Britain was still on the gold standard so this would have been an actual circulating coin (although in reality it was probably just kept in a bank somewhere).

The obverse features the portrait of the "old" Victoria. Shame about the dirt on this side, but not much I can do about that.

The reverse is exquisite. Pistrucci's St George and the Dragon remains my all-time favourite coin design.

My girlfriend snuck into my coin album and found out which five IHCs I was missing, and surprised me with this hole filler 1871 IHC today! I don't go for high grades with this set, so while the coin may look like it's seen some better days, it fits right in with my set! Four more to go!

Picked this baby up today at the LCS.

I haven't bought any coins for a while, but I made up for lost time with this one! This is one of my top ten favorite designs. It's almost abstract, but still interesting. I'm especially proud of how the edge lettering shone because of how uncirculated the coin is.

Picked up five Lincolns this weekend in Colorado Springs.

Two from Hallenbeck Coin Galleries - both raw, 1944 D (raw, graded MS65) and 1945 S (raw, graded MS65). Believe the grades are accurate as well. 44 D is definitely "brassier" than the 45 D.

From a local pawn shop, purchased 1946 D, 1954 D, & 1958 D....all slabbed as MS67 by ICG. Definitely 66's, with strong possibility of 67 RED for all three.

When I paid for the three Lincolns, the young gent tried to make me pay sales tax. I inquired why sales tax on NON BULLION items? He asked one of the other people behind the counter and the tax was deleted. So, know the state sale tax laws when you purchase bullion and non bullion numismatic items.

Of note, this is the same pawn shop that sells coins by silver content. They STILL have no date Buffalo nickels tagged as containing silver. Have tried to educate them, but no luck.
