Got two more Austrian coins I bought from Bob Reis. A 1930 2 Schilling coin commemorating Walther von der Vogelweide (1170-1230) and a 1931 2 Schilling coin commemorating Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791).

Nice Cinco Pesos coins. These have such a busy and beautiful design on them. A friend who owns a coin shop had a large number of fakes brought in. The owner left them there.
I got them (ordered a "COPY" stamp for them) and have a friend who I am hoping will resin cast me some clear coasters from them. Also got a lot of fake Morgans and fake ASEs I am hoping to have a coffee tabletop made from (after also stamping them).

That sounds like an interesting project. Please share some photos when you get it completed.

This 1918-S SLQ completes my T1, T2 and T3 P/D/S type set of Standing Liberty quarters. Not a full head, but still a fairly decent strike.

Just received this one late this afternoon and I'm still smiling. I've been working on completing my Buffalo (sorry, @hfjacinto, "Bison") nickel type sets - P/D/S, proofs and varieties. This coin fills the Type 2 matte proof hole in my set. I normally don't mention who I purchased a coin from, but I acquired this very nice example from Gerry Fortin. It's got very faint magenta and light blue toning overall, mainly visible when held at an angle, with one slightly darker spot on the reverse at the bottom.

I've included the PCGS TrueView pic as well as it shows the coloration a bit better. However, the toning is in reality significantly lighter than it appears in this "TrueView" pic.

I hope no one minds, but I'm moving my two newest coin purchases to the 'US Modern Variety and Error Coins' sub-forum just in case anyone wants to comment. I was worried that they would be lost as replies under this thread.

This 5 Hryeni Ukrainian coin I received by mail today commemorates the carol Shchedryk ("The Little Swallow"), which tells the story of a swallow flying into a household to sing of wealth that will come with the following spring.
I find this coin beautifully designed and it is now one of my favorites in my Coin Collection of Composers and related music.
