Thanks everyone for the compliments on the Franc!

I have had this Half for a bit, but just got around to taking a decent photo of it. Thought I would share it.

We all like coins in great condition, but ll of them are important bits of history.

Really liking the 1950 set as well - beautiful half!

@humble - sorry, the REV, to me, looks like someone just spattered a bunch of oil droplets on it. I would continually be wanting thinking I had to wipe the dirt off of the back LOL!

BUT...the important thing is that YOU like it. And as I said about the penny - it's a great piece of history. Thanks for sharing it!

That's an interesting looking Franklin half, HumblePie. I have a 1951 Washington/Carver commemorative half in my registry set that has very similar toning, but flipped - the reverse of my commemorative half has dark rainbow toning, while the obverse has a more consistent overall dark toning with a bit of patterning like yours. I like it!

friends, because I was not here for a year and a half my 'recent acquisitions' are backed up. I have to bring my gig into the Now by posting my acquisitions since last october, I didn't have much going on from july til just into fall. so here we go, I am playing catch-up!

here's the acquisition that buttoned-up the silver eagle collection (for now; I still have 2 coins to acquire): the two-coin reverse proof set. from october 26, 2021:

of course, the cat had to inspect & supervise this photo & storage process:
