...new acquisition ... 1626 3 kreuzer, Spanish Netherlands, with a "Z" substituted for numeral "2" in the date (16Z9) ... scarce variety ... (I have some Spanish Colonial cobs that also have this phenomena ... seems like those guys lost or broke their numeral 2 punches from time to time)... ...Old Ferdy tha Duece seems to be eyeballing the error ... I enlarged the original image and noticed three small white spots by the sun ray next to the letter L. I wonder if that's the reason for MS-69 instead of MS-70.
I guess I didn't notice the spots when I posted the photo.
