Mysilveryears, great harvest, as usual! Here're couple of my new additions. First, Keeping up with the Latvians,  Then, being very partial to folk dancing, I had to have this Ukrainian number,  I've performed this dance, Hopak, myself (minus mustache and a sword; but a girl on your arm and sharovary - extremely baggy pants - are a-must!). |

Here are a few recent ebay pick-ups for the diehard darksiders. I see no particular need to show them individually just to boost my post count. First is a choice example of a coin-on-coin overstamp, an 1894 Guatemala half real on a Peruvian sol of the previous year. It takes some pretty serious bidding to win one of these coveted specimens, but figuring I won't live long enough to find one in the melt tubs, I just swallowed hard and bid:   Next is a really low mintage Saxony 'death thaler'; mintage <9000 pieces:   Lastly, a somewhat worn half thaler from the Franconian Bishopric of Wurzburg:   |

I'm drooling over turtleoverhead's and mysilveryears's coins, especially the Marriage of Marie Antoinette (historical significant) and the Peruvian Sol counterstamp.
