Hello Coin Community,
Need your input on this 1985D LMC that caught my attention, hope these pictures are good enough. At first I noticed some letters missing from the IGWT and might have been PMD. The planchet was thicker than normal so I put it on my scale and weighed in at 2.67g. Just a note, I calibrate my scale and measured it a few more times and even weighed it against coins with same year/mint, those others came in at 2.48g-2.50g. Is the weight 2.67g within Weight Tolerance, I figured if it were Die Deterioration wouldn't it it be lesser weight than normal 2.5g? The coin Itself is nice to look at, it has a nice satin finish on both sides, hard to tell from the pictures. Well I hope to hear input on this one shortly..Thanks Again!!

It's a little bit overweight, but it's still within Mint tolerance.

Thanks Errers and Varietys, thanks for your input. I also noticed the rim on the reverse mainly on the left side , was this a poorly struck coin from the mint or is it in its beginning phase of deteriorating and falling apart. thanks.

bossvibe, definitely in mint tolerance. I have a 1983 that weighs 2.70 grams. Just heavily plated.
