Look for the spread on the center area of the coins. Not over staring at the edges of devices. CoopHome: Jefferson nickel DDO If the 1964 SMS nickels (which are not proof nickels) were a doubled die, then all of the 1964 SMS examples would be the same doubled die as only one die was used for this special set of strikes. Cool, but what I'm somewhat confused about is you saying it's not Doubled. If this isn't a doubled die then what would you call it? There's obvious spreading, not MD, devices are raised and are enlarged in the areas I captured. So now I'm not sure what Exactly a Doubled die is if you cancel this out. It does appear to be a proof to me and that means there are many potential DDs.
