What's the name of this kind of error? Appears on both the obverse and reverse. The obverse looks a bit cooler because it looks like one of Washington's hairs flows into the "R".
These are called Die Cracks. They happen, when the die starts to get worn, from striking planchets. The die itself will eventually start to slowly break down, from normal wear and tear.
Good eye! Some people really enjoy collecting these. I might be corrected, but I don't think much value is added to the coin unless the cracks are very dramatic.
