Anybody that is following the circulated nickel survey that I am doing, knows that after looking through 6300 bank rolls, all I need to complete the 1938-1961 Jefferson set from circulation is the 1939d and the 1950d. Well, rolls 6301 to 6400 yielded the 1939d, so now all I need is the 1950d. Many posters on the survey thread have doubted that either of those dates would ever show up in circulation. Well, only the 50d remains. So, here is the contest: guess which roll, from 6401 to 25000, the first 1950d will show up in(if at all!) I will close the guessing the end of the day July 31st. Members will be permitted up to 10 guesses. You can put all 10 guesses in a single post (recommended) or do them individually if you like. If you believe the coin will never show up, simply put "never" as your guess (to keep things simple). In the event of multiple correct guesses, the FIRST post with the correct guess will win the prize. The prize will be a complete 1938-1961 Jefferson nickel set in your typical blue Whitman folder. Coins range from Good to AU. In the event I never find a 50d, I will get one for the set. Keep in mind, because it will take me quite some time to complete the survey (still 17,600 rolls to go through) the contest could potentially take quite some time to conclude. Then again, the coin could turn up next week, in which event I will announce it immediately! I will post updates here every week or so after the closing date of the guessing, to keep the thread active. Any questions feel free to email me or post them here. Good Luck! Couple of minor notes: I actually have 18,600 rolls still to go through, and the set will consist of coins I found doing the survey.

Another thing, whoever is closest will win; you don't have to hit it on the nose!

So, "when donkeys fly" isn't an option?
