I found this 1999 D LMC some time ago and thought I would look at it again. The date matches the WDDO-001 but that is where it gets a little difficult. The WDDO-001 shows slight notching at the bottom of the leg on the R, it also show a die gouge below the I on the word IN. I really cannot see the notch at the bottom of the leg in R and while there is a die gouge at the bottom of the I it is not in the same location as the WDDO-001. Maybe this is what tropicalbats was referring too in an earlier thread referencing a different die stage from the one pictured. Thoughts?

Tough call on this one? Seems like it is alike, but also different.

Mr. Coop, I think this is one I'll just put in the tube. I think it is a DDO but nothing to really compare it too other than the date. Thank you for that great illustration!

Seems like some areas are normal in size. Making me wonder if this is a Struck Through Grease error on the date area. Keep it safe for now and when you get some spectacular images, you might send them to John and See what he thinks.

I think that's a good one. You may wish to send a link to this thread to Mr. Wexler so he can have a look at all of Coop's comparisons and maybe give an opinion.

Tropicalbats, I think it is too but, I'm not very tech savvy and do not know how to send a link. I don't even know how to share a link to a thread I am responding to. It may be due to the fact that the only time I use the laptop is when I post a pic. Other than that I do everything from my mobile device. Showing my age I guess.

I don't see anything. Then again, I don't see anything on the coin Coop marked as the DDO either. So idk

1796Nopole, not all doubled dies show complete separation of the devices. In some instances like this one, you see a thickening of the devices as on the bottoms of the date as well as other parts of the devices.
