The way the 0 is shaped could this be damage from mint or post damage?

Not done at the mint.
It has taken a hit that has pushed the metal over and
damaged the bottom of the eight.

GrapeCollects, this coin is from 1980, which means it can't possibly be zinc. Zinc wasn't introduced until '82.

The metal has been pushed over and flattened on the date area, from taking a well placed hit. It's 100% Post Strike Damage unfortunately.
Errers and Varietys.
