Looks like it has been Struck Through Grease both sides which
would account for loss of design

Interesting.

Besides the weight & design deficits, it looks to me to have been struck slightly off center as well. It doesn't seem like normal wear from circulation, perhaps the planchet was partially deficient in thickness?

I agree. Tapered planchet. If we saw an edge shot of area, it would probably be thinner.

Definitely not Struck Through Grease. (if it was, then the weight would be normal) It's a Tapered Planchet. (AKA Rolled Thin Planchet)

A tapered planchet and a rolled thin planchet are not the same thing. Both will usually show a decreased weight but a rolled thin planchet was the same thickness all the way across, and a tapered planchet was typically normal thickness on one side and below normal on the other.
