OH - looks like just some damage?
OK - agree with the "grease"?
although if you look at the very bottom of the letters you see the letters are moved to the rim?

I don't think it's damage. It could be a lam or struck-through. Based on what I see, it is probably a lam.

I'm leaning towards a Struck Through error, since the letters are partially blocked. I think it was Struck Through Grease and grit,in that area.
