Hello everyone My name is Vitalijus and as my first post I would like to share my recent add to collection. Always dreamed to own owl tetradrachm since I saw it in a book when I was a child. Thank you.

Thank you Paul I like more second too ;) To be honest, never been so happy with these coins because, normally, when you buy coins, they tend to have less sentimental value than if you find when metal detecting. Probably, I am just getting old he he he :D

I do not collect ancients but can appreciate beautiful coins like these, and what it feels to obtain something like that after a long wait. Bravo! Did you obtain these as a lot of three? And if so, do you plan to keep them all? (Sorry, but since I am ignorant about these I don't know if it is 3 different types, or 3 of same type).

Thank you guys It is truly worth to own one in your collection. You wont regret. Worth each dollar, pound :) Tdziemia, I bought them separately and will keep them till the end :) Well, I have 3 coins because I wasn't completely satisfied with Athena's ''broken'' nose. Tried to look for better samples of Athena's face. End up having 3 of them and I love them :) In my plans to acquire two more coins: Archaic (first one's owl minted) and New style. But because I am still lack of knowledge, I need time to buy right coins. Simply there is too many fakes :( Especially when we are talking about Archaic style. Of course, there is a lot more with those owl coins to collect but I don't want to go that deep :)

I wouldn't like to ruin the party but are we certain these are legitimate? I'm not sure they are... LRC

What great Athenian tets @kortez and welcome to CCF! They certainly look struck to me, but I'm not expert on them, having only dipped my toe into Greek numismatics.

The colour in the first shot looked way off. the second set of pics show very well struck, similar examples. Attractive, and very probably legitimate! Beautiful in any case, especially in that set ( I will not use the term certainly for ancients)
