I guess I am an old patriot, b/c I get chills when viewing detailed personal history of great Americans like Ike. I was only in first grade when he passed away, but at least I can say I was alive while he was. Few other presidents meet the level of respect I have for this man and his true American spirit.

Thanks for sharing. This was a great "trip" for me.

Well said! I wasn't around while He was alive, but I was carrying on a tradition, more or less.I was raised in a house very similar to His,and Dad IMHO had the same qualities as He did.He took Us kids,My Sister and I, through the home, museum, and library, just as I took My Daughter and Grand Daughter this time.
Like I said before,it was My pleasure,in more ways than one.
May they both rest in peace!

I was in my mother's womb when he passed. Close enough.

A rare man who was born and lived to serve his country.
