It has that army camo pattern blotchy look. Check out my album for fakes where I saved civil war token counterfeits.

Same blotchy look. And it is from "over there" in that area of the world where I found the CWT's up for sale in the last year.

Fake fake fake!

It even has the same background red cloth as my images in my album, but those were listed from Hungary not Greece. If people buy this stuff, they are helping the bad guys. CCF says :

They sure worked hard to age it and cover up the fact it is fake.

Why on earth would a '23 Halfpenny turn up on ebay in Thessaloniki?
That would suggest a red flag to my way of thinking.

That part of the World is a known 'hot spot' for faking coins, especially ancient coins.

Lol indeed so bad that its real, there are too many indications that is a fake. First colour toned doesn't look like that ever, Second wear is high suspect, third they can't even strike a fake one properly what are they doing.

Genuine coins sometimes do turn up in the oddest parts of the globe and I have purchased genuine pre decimal rarities and/or high grades from Eastern Europe, Greece and South America. That being said this "coin" is a nasty example of a fake.
