In order for anybody to help, clear photos
of both sides of the coin are required.
Click on "Tutorials" at top right of the page

to the Community! I agree, pictures of the obverse and reverse are needed to see what you're seeing.

Looks like the diamond pattern made from being cranked into a pair of vice jaws.

This coin has been mutilated, looks like someone hit it repeatedly with a punch. Value 1 cent.

Vice jaws or a wrench. Pretty common sight on change. Saw a similar pattern on the bolt of a toilet in my old office where some maintenance guy had tightened the bejeezus out of it. Either way, no extra value

Yep, no new pictures are needed - these are clear enough to tell that this was caused by PMD (post minting damage) not a mint error.

Your reverse photo looks like a piece of milk chocolate that someone tried to bite into .
No , really it's intentional damage ,not an error .

Hit the nail on the head with being squeezed by a vice. We call this a vise job.

That term is usually reserved for a coin that has been squeezed in a vice between to other coins so as to impart an incuse reverse image of the other coin into it.
