Need opinions on a 1962 D Franklin half dollar. Appears to me it possibly has a RPM ..The mint mark seems to also have been kind of smashed....Expert opinions needed

It does look like MD at first glance, but if you look again the mintmark has not decreased in size which wouldn't indicate Machine Doubling.

THIS IS RPM-001. You can see another mintmark punch to the west as well. Nice find!

It looks like the correct location. But the damage to the mint mark hides it pretty much. It would probably be a hard sell. (I prefer not to deal with damaged varieties and other probably feel that way also)

I barely even saw that RPM with the MD. Probably a really tough sell, as stated, but a very nice find all the same!
