Need help with this one- is this a 1921S Vam15a- Clashed S?

If that's not a clashed S by the Vee- what is it on my coin?

My coin first, then VAM World Pic etc.

Chuckster, like I stated, I'm not into the 21 Morgans. I don't believe this is the 15A, just don't see the clash line under the neck. Your coin appears to have quite a bit of circulation and I think what you are seeing under the neck is just dings & scratches. The S in the hair vee should be incuse and in the shape of the S in trust. Yours looks raised, possibly a die gouge.

Thanks!

Its definitely raised metal by the Vee.

I'll see if I can try again to match it up with some other VAM's with die breaks, cracks, gouges etc, although not too successful with this one right now.

Sometimes they just end up being normal.

A clash is a much more subtle feature than the crack your coin exhibits in the vee - sometimes you have to play with angle and light to get a clash to photograph at all. Interesting place for a die crack, though.

I have been finding a lot of cracks in the same area lately, they usually extend through the hair and into the neck. You may want to check those areas as well.
