Circulation flattening, contact marks, and circulation wear has caused all of this. It's all Post Strike Damage ( PSD), and it's only. worth face value

The devices are tapered. Why? Because if they weren't the coin would stick to the die.

Images on the left side. Circulation flattens the coin down and the device appear wider, but that is from damage.
