So I just joined a coin selling group on Facebook and my first post immediately got taken down by Facebook. Facebook provided a link to their commerce policy and lo and behold, #15 states "Posts may not promote the sale of real, virtual or fake currency."

This leads me to wonder how everyone else is able to post in these groups and how these groups even exist in the first place.

What am I missing here?

IIRC, you have to list it as you would a regular post, not as a sale post.

Perhaps by "not promote" they mean that you cannot ADVERTISE the selling of coins from another source. To me, that would not be the same as you offering your coins for sale. Just thinkin'.

Oh ok I will try this. But technically isn't that still a violation of terms? (Although just not enforced?)

If that would be the case, I wonder why they took down my post?

Supposedly I'll be getting a response from Facebook within "48 hours" LOL... we'll see. Thanks guys, AC

It's presumably a policy put in place to prevent money laundering: "I'll sell you my $5000 bundle of banknotes for, let's see, $5000". Collectors aren't the target of the policy, we're just collateral damage.
